Willis Newson is one of the UK's leading arts and health consultancies. We use art to create positive health care environments and to connect communities and support individuals, building resilience and boosting wellbeing.
We are passionate about the power of art to change cultures and bring people together.
With years of experience working in the Arts & Health sector we can bring a wide range of skills to your projects, including:
We develop projects that connect health needs with creativity. We work in partnership and think across sectors and professional boundaries, to develop inspiring arts projects and programmes that meet policy, patient and professional stakeholder needs.
Creative Consultation and Engagement
We deliver creative approaches to consultation and engagement, ensuring all service users and stakeholders have a voice and are able to contribute to the development of projects in an accessible, relevant, meaningful and enjoyable way.
Arts and Health knowledge and experience
We have particular expertise across acute and mental health settings, as well as in developing Arts on Prescription programmes, using the arts to create caring environments, to improve the patient experience and support the wellbeing of staff.
Experienced in both delivering and evaluating arts projects for health and wellbeing, we understand their complexities and needs. We have developed credible evaluation practices to demonstrate the importance of creative approaches to wellbeing. Find out more.
Our core values of participation, collaboration and creativity inform and underpin our work. Our philosophy is to work on projects which will lead to sustained improvements in health and wellbeing. We look for ideas and opportunities that we can be passionate about, which answer three key questions
- Is there opportunity to truly engage with people?
- Is there scope to develop partnerships and collaborate with others?
- Does this project have the potential for positive long-term impact?
