Breakfast event: Innovative intelligence gatherers

Design Council, The Angel Building, 407 St John Street, EC1V 4AB 28 April 8:30-10:00am

As the meaning of ‘green’ widens to encompass factors affecting our wellbeing and productivity, we discover new ways to measure and record anything. A diverse group of innovative intelligence gatherers will tell us how we can harness data, architecture and aesthetics to influence wellbeing. Hosted by Dr Craig Robertson, AHMM’s Sustainability Specialist.

Speakers:

  • Ines Idzikowski Perez, UCL, will discuss work carried out in AHMM’s Morelands offices studying the relationship between architecture, energy and productivity.
  • Jane Willis, Willis Newson, will use innovative arts programming at Southmead Hospital, Bristol to tell us about engaging users and communities to create a strong sense of community, inclusion and social cohesion - and a building that is part of a city-wide cultural landscape.
  • George Bartley, Building Sustainability, will showcase data collection technology facilitating rich information collection, dissemination and provoking behaviour change through the ‘internet of things’.
  • Trevor Keeling, Buro Happold, will present research using multisensory wearable technology to measure physiological responses to the building environment - some of which was done at the Angel Building
